Dear Doctor N:
I had a complete hysterectomy in April of this year. I must say it is the best thing I've ever done for myself! I awoke after surgery asking for my Premerin. I had heard many women say that this was going to keep me from feeling menopausal. As far as I'm concerned it did. I am much more well adjusted and very even keeled. I thought I was having this surgery because I had a history of cervical pre-cancerous places. I also had severe pain every month from ovulation as soon as that was over the cramps would start and the cycle went on and on. I would like for other women to know that a hysterectomy is not the end of the world, it could give you your life back - it did me.
